Delight the senses!
I’m excited to share with you some of my recipes. Combining flavors that excite and surprise the taste buds brings me so much joy! To close your eyes and savor the deliciousness, comfort and satisfaction. Creating flavors that envelope you in sweet homely memories or transport you to memorable experiences of travels around the world. I love the creative and playful process of cooking and developing recipes with all 6 tastes.
Many cultures from Japan to Mexico, Thailand and India, have known the importance of integrating different tastes and textures in a meal. Not only does it make a meal delicious, the presence of all six tastes in a meal is critically important to nourish and balance the body. A delicious, comforting and warming Chai latte, for example, combines the flavors and benefits of several spices.

Exotic Chocolate truffel snack
Something sweet and a little bitter is a delicious snack or treat to close a meal and feel satisfied. The rose water and cardamom not only add an exciting middle easter twist, but also aid digestion.
- 150g Dark Chocolate (min 72%), chopped in small pieces
- 5 tablespoons of coconut milk
- 25g of pistachio nuts (lightly roasted) and chopped
- +/- 15g ground pistachios, for coating. Alternatively coat with desiccated coconut.
- 2 tablespoons of rose water
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
Heat the coconut milk to a gentle simmer with the cardemon- but do not boil!
Pour over the Chocolate in a heat proof bowl, let the chocolate melt for a few minutes
Mix the chocolate until its nice and smooth
Mix in the chopped pistachios and rose water
Place the bowl in the fridge for 2 hours or more, for the ‘ganache’ to set
Take from the fridge using a spoon, scoop out the ganache and roll in your hand palms until you have a ball. Work quickly so the mixture does not melt too much
Roll the truffle ball in the ground pistachio (or coconut) to coat
Enjoy! To store, place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or at room temperature if it’s cool. Ideally eat at room temperature.

Mango – Saffron mousse
Sweet, tropical and luxurious yet healthy and nourishing. Mango is one of the few fruits that does not hinder digestion when combined with other foods. Saffron has many health benefits, a.o. a natural blood purifier.
- 1 ripe mango
- Pinch of Saffron threads – soaked in hot water for at least 10 minutes
- 1 tbsp Coconut milk (optional)
- ½ tsp of Lime juice
- Pinch of Cardamom
- 1 cup of Silken Tofu
- Add some honey or maple syrup for a sweeter mouse (especially if the mango is not super sweet).
Blend the ingredients. You can eat it straight away, or refrigerate for an hour or so to let it set a bit more. Make sure to take it out in time to eat at room temperature (always better for digestion).

Warm soups are really nourishing and give a sense of satisfaction. Plus, there are so many variations possible! You can make this soup thick and filling or thinner to stimulate your appetite and digestion.
The fennel and fennel seeds aid digestion. Fresh herbs give it an Italian twist. By changing the spices, you can also give it an oriental flair.
